Some weeks ago, a friend of mine edited a picture using Instagram-filters and in her caption, she had called Instagram an app. Then I thought, Instagram is just an app. Instagram really is just an app – Like the google play store and photo gallery. The only difference being that since we spend so much time on this app, it kinda now has an influence over us, even if we don’t know. It’s affecting the way we act, like that guy who lied to impress his online friends, what we think of others and consequently, how we begin to see and carry ourselves too.
Sincerely guys, the way I feel writing this post, I can only hope that words would properly convey them exactly to you. I have always felt that the rate at which people live ‘fake’ lives online these days is saddening, but I didn’t think it was something that should urgently be addressed until I found this picture, while scrolling through the net on Friday.
I have been insecure about many parts of my body in the past. The most significant one would be my boobs though and I already shared that with you here. I’ve however been able to overcome these insecurities over the years and have been trying to help others as well overcome theirs. Last weekend though, something happened and I’ll quickly share the story with you guys.
